The school reception opening hours are: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.30pm.
Outside of these hours, please leave a clear message on the answer phone. The message will be picked up the following morning.
Attendance: If you need to report a pupil absence, please contact the school office on 0151 934 2991.
Office and Finance Queries: If you have a general school or finance query, please contact the school office.
Subject Queries: If you have a specific query about a subject, please speak to the pupil's form teacher.
Pastoral Queries: If you have a pastoral query or concern, please speak to the pupil’s form teacher.
If you telephone the school and ask to speak with the relevant person, please note that it the member of staff isn't available, it will be helpful if you leave a message with reception, with the pupil’s name and a brief overview of the query, your name and contact details.
Please note that teaching staff often have a full day of lessons timetabled, as well as break / lunch supervision duty, internal and external meetings and training sessions. It may therefore not be possible for a member of staff to return your call or reply to your email on the same day. Newfield School staff will endeavour to respond to parental queries within 48 hours (covering working days only). Note however that any serious safeguarding issue will be dealt with as a priority.
Parents / Carers are always welcome in school however It is always advisable to make an appointment first, so you can ensure that you meet with the person you want to talk to. When you have made an appointment, please aim to arrive on time and report to reception on arrival. Our office staff will help you to sign in and give you a visitors badge, which should be worn while on school premises.
