Spring Term

In class 4 we pride ourselves on being positive role models for the younger years in school, and always try our best in every lesson.

Outside of class we have lots of competative games of football and basket ball at break and lunch.

We also pride ourselves on being extremely Tech Savy and spend some of our free time on games or online.

Our Learning:

  • English - we are reading The Boy in the Tower, by Polly Ho-Yen - the book follows a Yr6 boy Ade who is trapped in his high rise tower block during an apocalyptic event in London!

  • Guided Reading - In class 4, we complete guided reading sessions 3/4 times a week. We focus on a wide range of text types and genres to improve our reading and comprehension skills

During our first term back after summer in English, class 4 read Thornhill. They loved the book so much that they wrote a letter to the author , Pam Smy, with a few questions about the book. Pam Smy then replied to each letter in detail, answering their questions,  thanking the boys for their letters and encouraging them to do well in English.
