We are a Year 6 class.

Our timetable for 2024/2025

There is not long to go now until the Summer, two more half terms! Time has gone so quickly in Year 6, but we still have lots of learning to do.

During Summer term we will be studying the following:

• English - in Summer 1, we will be reading Romeo and Juliet, in Summer 2, we will be reading Some Places More Than Others.
• Maths - focusing on shape, position and direction and becoming expert problem solvers!
• Science - lots of Biological studies
• Reading everyday - our Summer text will be Who Let The Gods Out
• Our theme for Summer 1 is Independence!

Class News:

Well done on another amazing term, it has been amazing seeing you all progress in your learning. You should be very proud of yourselves. Some incredible moments so far this term have included:

• Our very own Elton John getting the Golden Buzzer in Newfield's Got Talent!
• Trips to Pennington Flash, The Liverpool Philharmonic Hall to witness the incredible Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Friday morning Yoga sessions. 
• Lots of Deputy Head Teacher Awards!!
• Progress in Reading, Writing & Maths
• Your resilience and determination has been outstanding during SATs practice.

• Return to school after Easter Holidays - 22nd April 2025
• Inset day & May bank holiday - 2nd & 5th May
• SATs week - 12th - 16th May 
• SATs rewards trip - date and destination TBC! (Exciting!!)
• Half term - 26th - 30th May

Let's continue to fill this year with lots of achievements and amazing memories as a class.
