Welcome back to all our pupils. I hope you had a good summer holiday and are ready for all your new learning and new adventures at Newfield.

OUR LEARNING:

You will experience a wide range of lessons in all of these subjects. We also enjoy school trips and attending a range of activities that happen in and around school.

I have attached our class timetable so you have an overview of our learning.

This term we will be studying the following:

• English = The Iron Man
• Mathematics = Addition / Subtraction / Multiplication / Division
• Science = Grouping and Classification of Living Things
• Geography = Water
• History = Ancient Greece
• Computing = Computing systems and networks – the Internet
• PSHE & RSE = Relationships
• Religion = Sikhism
• Music = Rhythm and Beat
• Design & Technology = Design and Make a cushion
• Art = Colour Therapy
• Physical Education = Swimming and Team sports

SWIMMING: This is on a Monday - please bring in a suitable swimsuit / trunks plus a swimming cap and towel.

PE: This is on a Wednesday - please bring in your school PE kit (black shorts and white top).

READING: 

• In class, we will be reading our class Novel.
• Please aim to read as often as possible, both at home and in school as it helps you so much in all your subjects.

HOMEWORK:

Reading:

• Please read each night, either on your own or to an adult.
• Read all types of print - in books, comics, newspapers, online etc - and please remember to tell your staff. We love hearing about your interests. 

Spellings:

• Remember to learn your weekly spellings at home. These get sent home with pupils on a Friday.

TimesTables:

• Please learn your times tables.
• You have log on details for TTRockstars - you do this in school, but you can also access this at home too.

OUR FAMILIES:

• All our families give us fabulous support throughout the year and for that we thank you. We really appreciate this.
• Together we are a fantastic team, looking after your children and teaching them, and encouraging them to be the best they can be.
